Dating a military man is a one-of-a-kind experience. Being bravo foxtrot and golf foxtrot is exciting, and comes with its own unique challenges. Having dated an infantryman myself, I have some experience in this arena; from date nights to nights in, three day weekends that you wish would last forever, and all the rest, your man will always have your back. At the end of the day, you have ups and downs just like any relationship, and you’ll (probably) always love each other. Here’s what it’s like to be in a military relationship as told by Apocalypse Now:
Date nights are always exciting.
He’s always up for trying something new.
When you see bae in his uniform:
When he says he’s not in the ~mood~…
…but you always know how to get him fired up.
Every time you win an argument:
When you say goodbye before he goes away and act like everything is fine:
…and then you sit there missing him.
When he’s hanging out with his friends but you miss him so you hang out in the background:
He’s always saying things that give you that ~warm and fuzzy~ feeling.
When he has the day off and you get to spend it together:
You’re always so excited to give him the biggest and warmest of hugs.
…and you always know he’ll love you as much as Lieutenant Colonel Bill Kilgore loves the smell of napalm in the morning.
